A pair of featherweight match ups pitting Manny Gamburyan vs. Diego Nunes and Junior Assuncao vs. Ross Pearson are added to UFC 141 according to mmajunkie.com.
Gamburyan (11-6) is in need of a win to snap a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Jose Aldo and Tyson Griffin. Gamburyan was first introduced to the UFC during the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter, advancing to the show's finale before a shoulder injury in the bout's second round cost him the fight. He holds notable wins over Leonard Garcia and former WEC featherweight champion, Mike Brown.
Nunes (16-2) will look to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Kenny Florian at UFC 131 with a win over Gamburyan. Nunes is 3-1 over four fights and defeated Brown, Tyler Toner and Raphael Assuncao during that span.
Assuncao (13-4) recently defeated Eddie Yagin via unanimous decision at UFC 135 in his first bout back in the UFC. Assuncao is currently riding a seven fight win streak that also includes a knockout win over The Ultimate Fighter season nine alum, Mark Miller.
Pearson (12-5) will be making his UFC featherweight debut after an up and down record as of late in the lightweight division. The Ultimate Fighter season nine winner is 1-2 over three fights, defeating Spencer Fisher via unanimous decision but dropping a split decision to Edson Barboza and a rear naked choke to Cole Miller.
UFC 141 on December 30, 2011, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is headlined by Brock Lesnar facing Alistair Overeem.
