On tonight's episode of Shambala Sports Radio, let the action and guests keep coming.
UFC 113 saw another changing of the light-heavyweight guard, a post fight punch thrown, and a fan favorite suffer a nasty injury. We also saw the UFC careers of several fighters come to an end, including a prominent fan-favorite. Tonight, we will discuss the happenings of a wild Saturday night in Montreal.
We will also discuss several big events slated to take place this Saturday.
Strikeforce discussion will be on tap as the promotion returns to St. Louis, an event that will see Alistair Overeem finally defending his Strikeforce heavyweight title, as he squares off against Brett Rogers. Also, Andrei Arlovski returns to action for the first time in 11 months and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza squares off with Joey Villasenor.
Shine Fights: Worlds Collide will also take place Saturday. In the main event, UFC vet Din Thomas will welcome former Boxing World Champ Ricardo Mayorga. There is some drama surrounding this bout, as boxing promoter Don King has filed an injunction to stop the contest. We will give our thoughts on this and more.
Also, Shambala Sports Radio wouldn't be so without our guests.
Our first guest for the show will be Nick Thompson. Thompson is part of the Shine Fights: Worlds Collide card and will be facing Eduardo Pamplona.
Our second guest of the night will be Marcus Davis. Fresh off of his stoppage win over Johnathan Goulet, it is being reported that Davis has verbally agreed to face Nate Diaz at UFC 118 in Boston. Tonight, we will get him to discuss these topics, gauge his thoughts on King, Mayorga, James Toney and more.
Our final guest of the night will see the return of one of last week's guests, John Salter, who picked up his first victory inside the Octagon at UFC 113. Salter will join us to discuss his bout with Jason MacDonald, what happened in the bout that caused the injury to MacDonald and more.
