Marcus Davis recently defeated Pete Spratt at MFC 30 and hopes to continue his MMA career with the promotion according to mmaweekly.com.
Davis defeated Spratt via unanimous decision, extending his MMA record to 19-8. The two have clashed before, nearly four years ago in the UFC where Davis was also the victor via submission. The UFC veteran who was released after two successive losses and going 1-4 over five fights, has rebounded with two wins in the MFC promotion.
"Hopefully I'll be fighting again by September. As long as I have an immediate goal for myself, I can do all the different businesses I'm involved in and keep my fighting career going" Davis said on mmaweekly.com.
For the 37 year old "Irish Hand Grenade", Davis hopes to be able to continue to put on exciting fights for fans and stay with MFC.
"I don't know what's going to happen here for the next step, but I hope we can renegotiate with the MFC and step forward there. I'll try to keep having more entertaining fights than I've been having and get some wins under my belt" Davis said on mmaweekly.com.
Davis' contract with MFC expired with the Spratt fight and it is currently unknown whether or not Davis will be resigned.
