Marcus Jones changes nickname to "Big Baby;" not retiring from MMA
by Natalia Baage on December 05, 2009

The man formerly known as Marcus "The Darkness" Jones, will now be known as Marcus "Big Baby" Jones - as if he wasn't already.

In a recent interview with FanHouse.com, Jones stated that he has given in to his nickname "Big Baby," and will no longer be known as "The Darkness."  He said that while at first, the "Big Baby," nickname bothered him, he has learned to acknowledge it as a term of endearment.  In addition, fans would approach him and ask him if he was "Big Baby" - and there is no escaping what the fans want.

In regards to Jones' sentiment on the final episode of TUF 10, where he stated that he felt like giving up MMA, he has changed his mind.  Upon returning home, he spoke with his wife and decided to continue on with the sport.  Jones referred to MMA as a love that he could not leave.  Since the end of the show, Jones said that he has been working on his stand up game, especially his jab and keeping his hands in front of his face.

Tonight, Jones will face his in-house enemy Matt Mitrione on The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.  To watch the finale, tune into Spike TV at 9 p.m. EST.
