After having his opponent pulled yesterday, word was leaked that American Top Team trained Mark Bocek will now square off against UFC newcomer Joe Brammer at TUF 10 Finale. News of the bout was first reported by MMAjunkie.com.
TUF 10 finale takes place on Dec. 5 at The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, and the main card will be televised on Spike TV.
Bocek's original opponent, Matt Veach, pulled out of their bout in favor of a match up with Frankie Edgar on the main card of the same event.
Bocek (7-2) will be competing for the first time since April's UFC 97 due to his desire to take the summer off from competition after tearing his LCL in training. He notched his second straight win at the aforementioned event, defeating David Bielkheden.
The TKO and King of the Cage veteran sports a 3-2 UFC record, with other octagon wins coming over Doug Evans and Alvin Robinson; while suffering losses in the UFC to Mac Danzig and Frankie Edgar. He has finished all but one of his seven career wins with five coming by submission.
Brammer will be looking to go 3-0 in 2009. His previous wins this year came against Michael Johnson and most recently against longtime veteran Chris Mickle last month.
Brammer has fought the majority of his four year career for two promotions, Midwest Cage Championship and Glory Fighting Championships, fighting half of his 8 career fights with the latter promotion. He has put together a 7-0-1 MMA record, with six of his wins coming by stoppage including five by submission.
TUF 10 finale is headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between undefeated phenom Jon "Bones" Jones and contender Matt Hamill. In addition, a battle between the top two heavyweight finalists from the 10th season of the Ultimate Fighter will also be featured.
