A lightweight bout between Mark Bocek and Matt Veach is in discussions to take place at the Ultimate Fighter season 10 finale in Dec. The news of the bout comes courtesy of MMAWeekly.com.
Bocek (7-2) will be competing for the first time since April's UFC 97 due to his desire to take the summer off from competition after tearing his LCL in training. He notched his second straight win at the aforementioned UFC 97 event defeating David Bielkheden at the April event. He sports a 3-2 UFC record, with other octagon wins coming over Doug Evans and Alvin Robinson. He suffered losses against Mac Danzig and Frankie Edgar. The TKO and King of the Cage veteran has finished six of his seven career wins including five by submission.
Veach (11-0) was supposed to make his second octagon appearance at UFC 102 last month, however, he was forced off the event with a back injury. He opened up his UFC career in impressive fashion, defeating Matt Grice via first-round TKO in his UFC debut at February's UFN 17 event. He entered the octagon having won the first 10 bouts of his career. The H.I.T. Squad fighter has finished all but one of his 11 career wins and he holds notable wins over the likes of Matt MacGrath and Alex Carter.
TUF 10 finale takes place on Dec. 5 from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, and the main card will be televised on Spike TV. The event will feature a battle between the top two heavyweight finalists from the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The event will also feature a light-heavyweight bout between undefeated phenom Jon "Bones" Jones and contender Matt Hamill as well as a lightweight bout between Frankie Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino.
