by Jacob Camargo on April 20, 2009

As first reported here at FiveKnuckles.com, Mark Munoz will drop to the UFC's middleweight division and sources have confirmed that he'll face Nick Catone as both men look to rebound from recent losses. The UFC has yet to announce anything officially for UFC 102 but rumors suggest that the event will take place on August 29 in Portland, Oregon.

Mark Munoz is coming off a vicious knockout loss to Matt Hamill at UFC 96. Munoz, who is a former NCAA wrestling champion, will be dropping down to middleweight after going 5-0 as a light heavyweight, with two of those light-heavyweight wins coming in fights for the ZUFFA owned WEC promotion.

Catone suffered his first UFC loss earlier this month at UFC fight night 18 to TUF 7 competitor, Tim Credeur. The loss comes just two months after his UFC debut win over Derek Downey at UFC fight night 17.
