Matt Hughes breaks down UFC 100; Brock Lesnar
by Jason Benfari on July 14, 2009

Well, the fights went a lot like I thought they would. I knew Dan Henderson would try and stalk him down with that big right hand and it was just a matter of time before he was going to figure out the range. Now that I see Bisping is okay, I can say that I liked the ending to that fight the best. Dan usually doesn't have much to say and you could tell after the fight that Michael had gotten under his skin. With the first big right hand Dan said "good night." With the second, after Michael was on the ground, he said "sleep tight." Dan is a friend of mine and we're a lot more alike than Michael Bisping and I.

I would have to say the GSP/Alves fight was the most boring fight to watch. Not trying to say that in a bad way, just compared to every other fight, it was the least exciting. However, GSP does do such a good job of transitioning from his striking to his takedowns.

After I watched the weigh-ins, I knew Frank Mir was going to have some problems. It looks as though he cut weight and tried to get as fit as he could. I think that he didn't have the strength to even compete with Brock. Brock is a good friend of mine, I'm glad to see him win and a lot of people don't realize that he is a very intense person. He did go a little over the top after the fight, but I found some of his comments amusing. Brock's a good guy, he just got caught up in the heat of the moment. Like everyone he will get beat, but right now it seems like the UFC will have to put in two guys at once to beat him.
