Kimbo Slice and Matt Mitrione both believe in their ability to knock each other out. Both have knockout power; both have good chins. As two of the bigger personalities on The Ultimate Fighter 10, fans are ready to watch them settle an old score.
"I'm hard-nosed and I'm aggressive," Mitrione told the UFC. "I will take the fight to him. It will be the fight that the Houston Alexander vs. Kimbo fight should have been. And I will dot him in his face. And I think that once he tastes some blood, I think that will make him think, 'Huh, this shit kinda sucks.' And I think I'll finish him after that."
At The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, everyone expected a striking war between Slice and Alexander. But the fighters shocked fans by circling, stalking and not engaging each other much. However, on that same night, Mitrione scored a second-round knockout over Marcus Jones.
"He's talking shit now - that's just talk, that ain't happening like that," said Slice. "You talk a lot of shit, Meathead. I'ma grind your meat up, buddy. I'ma grind your meat up. Believe that, believe that."
What does the former NFL player think of the Slice being a former street brawler?
"I couldn't care less about him being a street fighter," said Mitrione. "I think that when I touch your face, it's gonna completely throw anything that you have in your mind, out of your mind."
However, Slice says that he is leaps and bounds from where he was when he competed in people's backyards.
"I'd kill myself if I fought myself that was a street fighter to the Kimbo that I am today," he said. "There's no comparison... I'ma try to make him bleed, piss, fart, shit, throw up, burp - whatever the body does - I'm gonna try to get him to do it."
While Mitrione made it further in The Ultimate Fighter competition - getting defeated in the quarterfinals, while Slice was defeated in his first in-house fight - both are looking to prove that they are solid heavyweight fighters who deserve to stay in the UFC.
At UFC 113 on May 8, fans will see the outcome of the trash talk, and see which TUF alum ends up knocked out at the end of the fight.
