Lightweights Matt Wiman and Rafael dos Anjos will both be looking to snap two-fight losing streaks when they square off at UFC 103, according to InTheGuard.tv.
Wiman now sports a 4-3 UFC record but he has lost his last two bouts inside the octagon against Jim Miller and most recently Sam Stout at UFC 97 in April in a bout that many thought Wiman won. Prior to those losses, Wiman put together a four-fight win streak with wins over the likes of Michihiro Omigawa, Justin Buchholz and Thiago Tavares. Only three of Wiman's 10 career wins have gone to decision.
Dos Anjos entered the UFC on a very impressive nine-fight win streak, however, he has yet to get a win with the UFC in two fights. The losses have come to Jeremy Stephens in his UFC debut at UFC 91 and then most recently to Tyson Griffin at UFN 18 in April. A very-skilled grappler, dos Anjos is a member of the Gracie Fusion team in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and has fought for promotions around the world such as Pancrese, Shooto and Fury FC.
Though not officially announced yet, UFC 103 is expected to take place on September 19 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX.
Other match ups expected to be featured on the card include Junior Dos Santos taking on Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in a heavyweight bout, two interesting welterweight bouts in Martin Kampmann vs. Mike Swick and Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg as well as two explosive lightweight bouts in Hermes Franca vs. Tyson Griffin and TUF 8 lightweight winner Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller.
