Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua wants Rashad Evans or Rich Franklin next. The popular, oft-injured Brazilian star has been given a clean bill of health and also revealed that he expects to return to the cage in December, presumably for the UFC's annual New Year's Eve event set for Dec. 27. Against who has yet to be determined, but Rua made no secret about who he'd like to face.

“Rashad fought the perfect fight, he obviously studied Chuck and worked hard on his game plan,” he told Fighters Only Magazine. “He may be undefeated but everyone is there to be beaten and I would like to be the first one to do it.”

It is highly unlikely however, that that fight will occur in December as Evans has already been promised a title shot against Forrest Griffin; to that end Rua also expressed an interested in facing former long time UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin.
