Michael Bisping fires back at Alan Belcher

“Yeah really original. I suppose he thinks he can get back in the mix by calling me out. But if he wants an easy fight he should sue his tattooist for that abomination on his arm. I know Belcher has vision problems right now but we still have to look at that mess. He’s got a lot of nerve calling me an a*****e when he walks round with that on him. Although lets be fair, the real a*****e is the tattooist who drew that.” - Michael Bisping

Just a few days after Alan Belcher had some choice comments about Michael Bisping, the always brash Brit responded, courtesy of Fighters Only Magazine.

“Bisping is an a*****e who disrespects the sport and his opponent,” Belcher said. “A fight between me and Michael Bisping is something everybody wants except for Michael Bisping. It would be amazing to sign that fight and have him come to my backyard. He always gets to fight in Britain and other places, but it’d be good to see him come down to Louisiana. I’d love for that to be my comeback fight.”

Belcher originally made those comments in an interview with Sherdog.com.

Belcher has been on the shelf since a submission victory over Patrick Cote at UFC 113 in May of 2010. The Duke Rufus fighter was scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night 22 against Demian Maia before being forced to withdraw from the fight after he lost the vision in his right eye.

After months of rehab and many questions regarding his ability to return to mixed martial arts, Belcher finally seems to be on the path towards his return to the Octagon. 

So would you be interested in Belcher vs. Bisping? Or does Belcher need another win or two to reach the Brit?

 |  (35) Comments snuff: I'd be good with this fight. Belcher is at least a whole lot better than Jorge Rivera. I doubt he could beat Jorge's trashtalk though. :p fredshaulage: I think he should get in at least one fight before taking on Bisping. I dont like Bisping and I think he overrates himself as a fighter. Having said that, he is no can and would be a handful for most 85'ers coming off a long layoff. JimLaheyTPS: I think Bisping needs to be put in his place. As much as I hate Sonnen, I think a fight between Bisping and Sonnen needs to take place. I dont think either one is ready for a shot at Silva but I hate Bisping and someone needs to beat the crap out of him. Short of Andy, I think Sonnen is the best match of for him. His striking is just as good as Bisping, but with the added advantage of having power behind the shots His ground game is better too. Bisping could out point him, but I think Belcher corners him and makes him pay. TGroves: Oh and Bisping has a higher percentage of victories by way of KO/TKO than Dan Henderson, Rampage Jackson and Anderson Silva. So Bisping obviously hits pretty hard.
