Michael Bisping vs. Tim Boetsch, previously scheduled for UFC 148, is now moved to UFC 149 in Calgary according to mmajunkie.com.
UFC 148's main card is currently planned to feature Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen, Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber, Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le and Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz.
According to sources, UFC 148's line up was becoming increasingly crowded thus prompting the Bisping vs. Boetsch move to UFC 149.
UFC 149 is still very much in the development phase, recently adding other matchups that include Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against challenger Erik Koch and Mauricio Rua fighting Thiago Silva.
Bisping (22-4) last fought at UFC on Fox 2 and loss a contentious unanimous decision to Chael Sonnen. That loss snapped a four fight win streak which included wins over Jason Miller, Jorge Rivera and Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Boetsch (15-4) is on a three fight win streak and recently stated he wanted to fight Bisping from as far back as Bisping's days at light heavyweight. Well "The Barbarian" can cross off "The Count" on his hit list when they meet on the July 7 event. Boetsch last defeated Yushin Okami via come from behind third round TKO, being dominated if the initial two stanzas. Boetsch is on a three fight win streak.
UFC 149 is expected to take place on July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
