Middleweight standout Rob Kimmons signs new contract with the UFC

After putting together a solid 2-1 record with the UFC, up-and-coming middleweight Rob Kimmons has recently signed a new four-fight with the promotion. The news comes via MMAjunkie.com.

Kimmons is coming off an win over Joe Vedepo at Ultimate Fight Night 18 in April and is now 13-2 in his last 15 fights. He previously lost to rising middleweight contender Dan Miller at UFN 15 last September. Kimmons made a successful UFC debut by defeating Rob Yundt at TUF 7 finale in June of 2008.

Overall, during his 6-year professional MMA career, Kimmons has fought for organizations such as the WEC, IFO and Shooto. He has put together an impressive 22-4 record, with 14 of his wins coming by submission. Kimmon's four career losses have all come against UFC veterans; which include Joe Riggs, Ryan Jensen, Marvin Eastman and the aforementioned Miller.
