In September, Swick was set to face Martin Kampmann in a title contention bout at UFC 103, but had to withdraw from the fight due to injury. Newcomer Daley stepped in to replace Swick. Even though he was said to be the underdog, he defeated Kampmann via first-round TKO.

It was then wondered if a Daley vs. Swick title contention bout would be in the making. That thought was shot down by UFC President Dana White, who said that Daley would have to win more fights before getting a title shot.

Swick (14-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) is on a four-fight winning streak. His next fight will take place at UFC 105 on Nov. 14 where he will take on Dan Hardy. Daley (22-8-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) does not have a next opponent.
