Mike Swick has made many mentions that he would like to fight Matt Hughes or welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre in his next bout. With St. Pierre still under contract with the UFC, and Matt Hughes recently signing a multi-fight contract, both of those fights are possible.

Fans have been wondering about Swick's next fight. Swick (14-2) was set to face Martin Kampmann in a title contention bout at UFC 103, but was unable to compete due to a concussion that he suffered while in practice.

On Friday afternoon, Swick wrote a Twitter post that read, "Big news coming soon!"

Followers and fans believed that it was about his next opponent. To address those questions, Swick left the following Twitter post in the early hours of this morning.

"Hey guys, no I am not fighting Hughes or GSP next. I do have some really cool news but can't say just yet... Stay tuned!"

While Swick nullified the potential of his next fight being against the two men he had wanted most, his news is yet to be heard.
