Nate Marquardt returns to MMA, set to fight Yoshiyuki Yoshida at BAMMA 9 in February

Former UFC fighter, Nate Marquardt, returns to MMA competition and is set to fight Yoshiyuki Yoshida at BAMMA 9 in February according to bloodyelbow.com.

Marquardt and Yoshida will fight for the vacant BAMMA welterweight title. This will be Marquardt's first bout since his departure from the UFC which resulted from Marquardt failing pre-fight medicals a day before his main event at UFC on Versus 4. Marquardt was found to have elevated testosterone levels from testosterone replacement therapy but since he was unable to lower the levels in time, he was removed from his fight with Rick Story and the promotion. Story eventually fought Charlie Brenneman and was defeated via unanimous decision.

Yoshida has also spent time with the UFC, going 2-3 with the promotion, and in his last bout he defeated Phil Baroni via unanimous decision at ONE FC's inaugural event earlier this year.

BAMMA 9 is scheduled for February 11 in Birmingham, England.

GO HARD: im taking Yoshida. q; ) for no other reason than just to shake this thread up. Yoshida is going to implement the perfect game plan and stay on top of nate.
