Nate Quarry: "I like to go in with as little game plan as possible."
by Gavin Vincent on September 14, 2009

"I've heard that Credeur's a tough guy. I'm a tough guy too so it should be a good fight. Everything that he's been doing is working out really well for him. He's been showcased in his hands, kicks, in his muay thai and I think were going to have a bit of a stand-up war. I've been doing jiu-jitsu for 12-13 years. I've been around a little bit but I'm not black belt and have been quoted as 'not the best jiu-jitsu guy' and I will never claim to be. I'm just a fighter and if it goes to the ground, that's where I'm going to fight. I like to go in with as little game plan as possible and just go in to fight. I think it's a lot simpler that way. Don't have to worry about a game plan and if he's hitting you... don't let him and hit him back really hard. I can remember that [smiles]. That's easy." -- Nate Quarry

Nate Quarry talks his game plan, or lack thereof, going into his fight at Ultimate Fight Night 19 against TUF 7 participant, Tim Credeur. Quarry is 3-1 in his last four professional fights, losing only to Demian Maia. In his eight years of fighting, Quarry has racked up 11 wins and just three losses. He may be most famous for being on the receiving end of a Rich Franklin jab that stiffened him in the air and sent him falling to the canvas, knocked unconscious. To his defense, Quarry's only three losses are to top-level guys like Gustavo Machado and the aforementioned Demian Maia and Rich Franklin.
