Nick Catone Could Fight Tim Credeur At UFN 18 In April
by Jacob Camargo on March 12, 2009

The 11 fights currently scheduled to take place at April 11's UFN 18 could expand to 12 fights as Tim Credeur could fight Nick Catone in a middleweight bout. The fight hasn’t been signed because one of the fighters may not be ready to fight in 3 weeks, but if the middleweight fight does come to fruition then it’s likely to end up on the night’s un-aired preliminary card.

Catone finally made his octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 17, after two previously scheduled fights with TUF 7 middleweight winner Amir Sadollah fell through because of unfortunate injuries suffered by Sadollah. Catone then met Derek Downey at UFN 17, where he ended up submitting Downey in impressive fashion with a keylock submission.

TUF 7 cast member Tim Credeur last fought back in December at UFN 16, where he earned an impressive TKO stoppage over Nate Loughran. Creduer is currently riding high on a five-fight win streak, with two of those wins taking place in the UFC.
