Nick Catone announces bout vs Steve Steinbeiss at UFC Fight Night 20
by Jacob Camargo on November 03, 2009

A pair of struggling middleweights, Nick Catone and Steve Steinbeiss, will look to get back on the winning track when they face each other at UFC Fight Night 20 on Jan. 11 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

Catone announced that he would be facing Steinbeiss at UFN 20 on his official website yesterday.

The loser of the Catone vs. Steinbeiss bout may be looking at a UFC exodus, as both men have lost two straight.

Catone (6-2) opened his UFC career with promise by scoring a impressive second round submission win over Derek Downey in his debut with the promotion at UFN 17 in February. However, things would take a turn for the worse as he has since lost back-to-back fights against Tim Credeur and Mark Munoz.

Prior to joining the UFC, Catone had won the first five bouts of his career. The longtime Ring of Combat veteran has finished all but one of his six career wins.

Steinbeiss (4-3) most recently suffered a loss in his UFC debut against Ryan Jensen at UFC Fight Night 19 in September. The loss was his second straight, with a previous loss coming in the other Zuffa owned promotion, the WEC, against Carmelo Marrero in Nov. 2008. The Arizona Combat Sports product has finished all of his four career wins including 3 coming by TKO or KO.

The, as of yet announced, Spike TV televised event, UFC Fight Night 20, is headlined by a crucial lightweight tilt between Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz.
