Official fighter payouts and salaries for UFC Fight Night 20

The official fighter salaries for UFC Fight Night 20 were recently released from Virginia's Professional Boxing and Wrestling Program, which is the state's athletic commission. The event took place this past Monday on Jan. 11 from the Patriot Center on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.

The event's top two earners were preliminary card winner Chris Leben at $60,000 and headliner Gray Maynard at $40,000. Leben earned an unanimous decision win over Jay Silva, while Maynard earned a split decision win over Nate Diaz.

Other top earners from the event included main card winner Amir Sadollah ($30,000), Nate Diaz ($24,000) and Aaron Simpson ($22,000).

In bonus money that was handed out following the event, Gerald Harris took home $30,000 extra for being awarded "Knockout of the Night" for his third-round TKO win over John Salter on the night's preliminary card. Evan Dunham also earned $30,000 in bonus money, as he was awarded "Submission of the Night" for his third-round submission win over Efrain Escudero.

In addition, Aaron Simpson and Tom Lawlor each pocketed an extra $30,000 for being awarded "Fight of the Night" for their three round middleweight war, which saw Simpson walk with a split decision win.

Also of note, lightweights Nick Lentz and Thiago Tavares just earned their show money, with no win bonus being given out as both battled to a rare draw on the preliminary portion of the UFC Fight Night 20 fight card.
