Matt Brown is now set to face John Hathaway at UFC 138 after Pascal Krauss suffered an injury according to mmajunkie.com.
Brown (12-10) recently defeated John Howard at UFC on Versus 4 to snap a three fight losing streak that also saved his UFC career, Howard was cut from the promotion following the loss.
Brown was first introduced in the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter. He built a 4-1 UFC record following his run on the show which saw Brown advance to the quarter finals round before being eliminated by eventual winner, Amir Sadollah. In mid-2010 Brown fell onto a rough patch when he dropped three successive fights before his win over Howard.
Hathaway (15-1) defeated Kris McCray via split decision at UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis in his last bout. At only 24 years old, Hathaway has already built up a solid UFC performance as he gone 5-1 over six fights. His only loss was unanimous decision to Mike Pyle at UFC 120. Hathaway holds wins over UFC notables in Diego Sanchez, Paul Taylor and Rick Story.
UFC 138 on November 5 at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England is to be headlined by the first non-title five round bout between Mark Munoz vs. Chris Leben.
