UFC President Dana White announced a group of Affliction refugee signings today at the UFC's conference call and Paul Daley, who was the first rumored former Affliction UFC signee, was among them.
Daley will reportedly make his UFC debut against fellow octagon newcomer Brian Foster at UFC 103, which takes place on Sept. 19 in Dallas, Texas. "Semtex" was originally scheduled to face Jay Hieron at the recently canceled Affliction: "Trilogy" event.
Daley defeated Junior Barata at a World Free Fight Challenge event in his last outing in April and is now 3-1 in his last four fights. His only loss over that stretch came against Nick Thompson at MFC 20 in February. The six-year veteran has fought for Strikeforce, EliteXC, Cage Rage and SportFight with sixteen of his twenty-one career wins coming via TKO or KO. He holds notable wins over the likes of Xavier Foupa-Pokam, Jess Liaudin and Duane Ludwig.
Foster is currently riding a three-fight win streak, with his most recent win coming over Kyle Baker at Shine Fights: "Genesis" in May. He currently hones his skills at Matt Hughes' H.I.T. Squad gym. The longtime Master of the Cage veteran, Foster, doesn't let fights go the distance as none of his 13 career fight have ended with a bell. All 10 of his career wins have come via stoppage.
The stacked 13-bout, UFC 103 fight card will be headlined by a newly announced match up between Rich Franklin and Vitor Belfort.
