"(Carlos) is a great fight for myself. He's a great, game striker. Like's to have a bang, has some good submissions, and a bit of wrestling. But in my opinion, he's a slightly worse version of (Martin) Kampmann, in that I don't think he's as solid in every area as Kampmann is. Of course I think I'm going to win and of course I think I'm going to win by knockout."-Paul Daley
Brash, young British knockout artist Paul Daley recently broke down his upcoming UFC 108 opponent, Carlos Condit. The bout will take place at UFC 108 on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas, NV. Daley compares Condit with his last opponent Martin Kampmann infering that Condit is a downgrade.
Coincidentally, Kampmann gave Condit a rude welcome to the UFC by handing the former WEC welterweight champion a loss in a tightly contested battle at UFN 18 in April.
Daley impressed and shocked many in his UFC debut by scoring a first-round TKO win over Martin Kampmann at UFC 103 in September. With the win, he put the welterweight division on notice and looks forward to future match ups against the upper echelon welterweights, starting with Condit. The win at UFC 103 was his third straight, with his previous wins occurring this year. Daley is considered a feared striker as he has finished 17 of his 22 career wins by TKO or KO.
