The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale is officially in the books and what an exciting night of fights it was. Here are some interesting tidbits that came out of the post-fight press conference:
- TUF 10 Finale drew an estimated 1,400 spectators to the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas for a $504,350 gate, according to UFC officials. Official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission will be released in the coming weeks.
- The UFC dished out $100,000 in bonus money to four of the 20 fighters who competed on last night's card. Newly-crowned TUF 10 winner Roy Nelson, as well as fellow main card fighters Frankie Edgar, Matt Veach and preliminary card fighter Mark Bocek, each earned $25,000 "Fight Night" bonuses for their outstanding performances at TUF 10 finale.
- Edgar and Veach earned "Fight of the Night" honors for their back-and-forth lightweight bout, which saw Edgar walk away with an exciting second-round submission win. Bocek took home "Submission of the Night" for his impressive first round rear-naked choke submission victory over UFC newcomer Joe Brammer.
- Nelson earned "Knockout of the Night" for his stunning first round knockout win over Brendan Schaub in the night's main event. With the win, Nelson was crowned TUF 10 winner and walked away with a six-figure UFC contract.
