MFC 21: "Hard Knocks" took place at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada this past Friday and the event aired live on HDNet.
In the main event of the evening, South African fighter Trevor Prangley wrapped up a decision victory over Emanuel Newton to earn the MFC light-heavyweight championship in a very close, back-and-forth battle.
In the evenings co-headliner, former WWE superstar and current ATT fighter Bobby Lashley scored an impressive submission win over Frank Shamrock-trained Mike Cook. Lashely improved to 3-0 while fighting with anger after being clearly frustrated by Cook, who entered the ring wearing a traditional Mexican lucha libre mask, an obvious jab Lashley's professional wrestling background.
In other main card action, UFC veteran Marvin Eastman earned a TKO win over Aron Lofton in a light-heavyweight bout, WEC and UFC veteran John Alessio got back to his winning ways by defeating Andrew Buckland in a welterweight tilt, Ryan Jimmo picked up his 10th straight victory over Mychal Clark and Pride Veteran Travis Galbraith earned a slight upset win over David Heath.
