Numerous well-known MMA fighters competed this past weekend in professional boxing and MMA events across the globe. Besides the UWC 7 event and Titan Entertainment's Combat Sports Championships' debut event that took place this past weekend, which was covered on FiveKnuckles.com, here is a rundown of some of the other action you may have missed:
TUF 4 winner Travis Lutter competed for the first time since losing to Rich Franklin at UFC 83 17 months ago as he defeated fellow UFC veteran Jason MacDonald via unanimous decision at Friday's MFC 22: "Payoff" event in Canada. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak for Lutter, while MacDonald picked up his third straight loss.
Also in action at MFC 22 was John Alessio who scored a third-round TKO win over Luigi Fioravanti. Pete Spratt also scored a second-round KO win over Nathan Gunn. In addition Mike Nickels defeated David Heath via third-round submission, and Ryan Jimmo earned his 11th-staight win over Marvin Eastman.

At Saturday's Sportfight 26 in OR, Sportfight featherweight champion Enoch Wilson successfully defended his belt by scoring a second-round TKO win over Chad Nelson. It was Wilson's fourth straight win and Nelson has now lost three out of his last four bouts. In the co-main event, Mike Hayes captured the Sportfight heavyweight championship by dethroning Josh Queen to win the belt.
In Amateur action at Sportfight 26 Ryan Couture (the son of former UFC heavyweight and light-weight champion Randy Couture) scored a first-round submission win over Team Quest's Nick Albert. In other notable Amateur action, Colt Toombs, son of WWE Hall-of-Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, earned a hard fought unanimous decision win over Matt Slosser.
In the main event of Saturday's Fight Nation event in MN, Jason Guida (the older brother of UFC lightweight Clay Guida) snapped a five-fight losing streak by scoring a KO win over Logan Clark in just seven seconds.
Also appearing on the Fight Nation card was TUF 6 runner-up Tommy Speer who picked up a unanimous-decision win over Travis Perzynski, which was Speer's fourth win in his last five bouts. The very experienced Travis Wiuff got his third staight win with a first-round submission victory over Waylon Goldsmith.
Aleksander Emelianenko (the younger brother of Fedor Emelianenko) made his pro boxing debut on Saturday in Moscow, Russia. He fought to a draw with Hizir Pliev. Emelianenko is currently on a six-fight winning streak in MMA, with his most recent win coming against Ibragim Magomedov in March.
