"I'm not interested in fighting Matt [Hamill]. I rather fight Rashad. I have unfinished business with him." -Quinton "Rampage" Jackson via twitter
Rampage Jackson is less than thrilled with the UFC's choice to replace former opponent Thiago Silva at UFC 130. Jackson learned yesterday that Matt Hamill has been tapped as his replacement opponent for a title eliminator on May 28 after a possible failed drug test pushed Silva out of action.
While Hamill is certainly a worthy opponent, Jackson appears eager for an opportunity to square things up with personal rival Rashad Evans against whom he suffered a loss at UFC 114.
The two floated the idea of a rematch after questions arose surrounding Silva's drug test from UFC 125. Evans pushed hard for the fight, stating in multiple interviews that he would be able to have himself ready by late May, but the UFC apparently thought otherwise.
The two have not been able to keep their hands off one another dating back to their time spent coaching opposing teams on The Ultimate Fighter 10. They have been involved in a number of altercations away from the cage, the most recent occurring last weekend at a Las Vegas night club where eye witnesses stated that the two former champions slapped each other before being separated.
