Newly signed undefeated Brazilian lightweight prospect Charles Oliveira is reportedly set to make his UFC debut against Darren Elkins at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale in June.
TUF 11 Finale takes place on June 19 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will air live on Spike TV. The event is headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between past TUF alums Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill. Also featured on the card will be the middleweight finalists from the 11th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" squaring off for a six-figure UFC contract.
Oliveira signed a four-fight contract with the UFC this past month. He most recently fought in a one night tournament at Warriors Challenge 5 on February 14 in Porto Belo, Santa Catarina, Brazil, where he picked up a pair of first-round stoppage wins over Rosenildo Rocha and Diego Bataglia.
Oliveira has put together a perfect 12-0 MMA record since turning pro in March 2008, scoring finishes in all but one of his 12 wins including six by TKO or KO and five coming by submission. When he is not in Brazil, he trains out of Gold Team USA in Houston, TX.
Elkins is currently on a three-fight winning streak, most recently scoring a first-round TKO win over Duane Ludwig in his UFC debut at last month's UFC on Versus 1 event. Elkins was awarded the TKO win just 44-seconds into the bout, after he took Ludwig down, braking his ankle in the process.
Elkins has competed for other notable promotions during his three-year career, such as; C3, Bodog Fight and Total Fight Challenge. He sports a near perfect 12-1 MMA record, with his only loss coming against Ted Worthington at Duneland Classic 6 this past September.
Elkins has has finished 10 of of his 12 career wins and holds a notable career win over veterans Gideon Ray and Pat Curran.
