Ricardo Lamas vs. Danny Castillo slated for WEC 42

Another lightweight bout has been added to the ever-expanding WEC 42 fight card as undefeated Ricardo Lamas will take on Danny Castillo. WEC General Manager Reed Harris announced the signing of the bout to MMAjunkie.com Radio.

Ricardo Lamas is coming off an impressive win over IFL veteran Bart Palaszewski at WEC 39 in March. Lamas sports a flawless MMA record of 6-0, with an even 3 wins by stoppages and 3 wins by decision.

Danny Castillo has one his last two fights with victories over Rafael Dias at WEC 36 and most recently Phil Cardella at WEC 39. Prior to that, Castillo suffered his first career loss while making his WEC debut against top WEC lightweight contender Donald Cerrone at WEC 34 last June.  Six of Castillo's seven career wins have come by stoppages.

WEC 42: "Torres vs. Bowles" takes place on August 9 from "The Joint" at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live on the VERSUS network. The event will be headlined by bantamweight title bout between current champion Miguel Torres and top contender Brian Bowles.
