Rich Franklin returns to the cage to take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 133

Rich Franklin (28-6 1 NC) will meet Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (19-5) at UFC 133. The UFC announced the match-up on their Twitter account earlier today.

UFC 133 is scheduled to take place on August 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Franklin looks to finally gain some momentum after alternating wins and losses in his past six bouts. His most recent appearance at UFC 126 saw him lose a decision to Forrest Griffin, one his corner told him he won. Prior to that fight Franklin looked amazing when he knocked out the legendary Chuck Liddell despite having a broken arm. 

Lil Nog will return to the Octagon after dropping a decision to Phil Davis at UFC Fight Night 23. Nogueira looked impressive early, stuffing the former NCAA division 1 wrestler's shots time and time again. The Brazilian was eventually dragged to the mat, where he was unable to work his Jiu-Jitsu. The decision loss marked his second straight after his set back to Ryan Bader at UFC 119. 

Should we expect another loss for "Ace" considering Brazilian southpaws have seemed to be his kryptonite in the past? Or will Nogueira be unable to replicate what Vitor Belfort and Anderson Silva did to Franklin? Give us your predictions in the comments.

Jade's not a fan of Lil' Nog. :p thug4less: Lil Nog hasn't been looking good and Franklin has despite being a recipient of the Montreal Screwjob in his last fight. I'm going to go with Ace. I'm probably wrong though. :( mike5k: Good fight. I see them standing but if it hits the ground Franklin has good enough jiu-jitsu to where it should still be entertaining.
