The UFC 103 fight card may finally be set as Rick Story fills the slot vacated by Paul Daley to take on UFC newcomer Brian Foster. News of Story's insertion in the bout came via MMAjunkie.com.
Foster's original UFC 103 opponent, Paul Daley, was pulled from the bout in favor of replacing the injured Mike Swick against Martin Kampmann on the televised main card.
Story (7-3) is coming off of a loss in his UFC debut against John Hathaway at UFC 99 in June. Prior to the loss, he had won six straight fights, with big wins over the likes of Ryan Healy, Jake Ellenberger and Brandon Melendez. The longtime Elite Warriors Championship veteran has finished four of his seven career wins.
Foster (12-3) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent win coming over Kyle Baker at Shine Fights: "Genesis" in May. The longtime Master of the Cage veteran has finished all 12 of his career wins and he hones his skills at Matt Hughes' H.I.T. Squad gym.
UFC 103 will take place on Sept. 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX and will be headlined by a 195-pound catchweight bout between former UFC middleweight champ Rich Franklin and former UFC light-heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort. Also slated for the main card is a heavyweight bout between Mirko Cro Cop and surging heavyweight prospect Junior Dos Santos.
