Rob Emerson on Phillipe Nover: "I have twice the experience... The guy is talking stupid."

"He thinks he has a better chin than me? That I'm not going to even hit him? It doesn't matter what the guy thinks. He's talking stupid if he thinks that. I have more than twice the amount of experience that guys does. I'm happy to go punch or punch with this guy. There is no way he has a better chin than me. I'm going to [expletive] touch him. And when I do, him and his corner are going to feel it. His last fight he got clipped and dropped with one punch by Bradley. I hit a hell of a lot harder than Kyle Bradley does. He's just talking stupid. The guy is talking stupid. We'll see Saturday night if he can back up everything he says."  - Rob Emerson

A confident Rob Emerson discusses his upcoming fight against fellow TUF alumni Phillipe Nover. Emerson currently owns a 9-8 record and believes that his heavy hands along with his experience will edge out the man who Dana White once compared to a younger version Georges St. Pierre.

During the quick conversation, Emerson appeared insulted by Nover's lack of respect for his punching power, and promises that his hands are stronger than Kyle Bradley's, who TKO'd Nover in a questionable stoppage at UFC 98.

The two fighters will meet inside the Octagon tonight at UFC 109, which is headlined by UFC legends in Randy Couture and Mark Coleman.

WAR PHILLIPE xdusty: i cant stand emerson, i swear he deep throats dana behind closed doors. he's 8-8, has no fan base, and has lost his last 2 fights. he would be 8-9 if maynard hadnt knocked himself out while he was knocking emerson out. he's just not a ufc talent. add to that he always talks as if he is anderson silva and fedor rolled into one. phillipe looked like a stud on tuf. i can see why dana made the comment at the time. however he has fallen apart since joining the ufc. id love to see phillipe win this fight to get his confidence back and send emerson on his way. but hey, even if emerson looses this fight, he'll probably still save his ufc contract with his tongue anyways. and i dont mean talkin. xdusty: i take it back. since emerson won he's been promoted to only giving dana sensual massages. he gets to stay off his knees for now. if he can pull out another win, the only thing he'll have to do is hold onto danas inverted pocket when they walk around in public. 2 more wins and he might actually be free from his duties.
