Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace, Roger Gracie, will fight Muhammed Lawal at a Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson on July 30 according to fightersonlymagazine.co.uk.
Gracie is undefeated in his four MMA bouts, winning his last fight against Trevor Prangley via rear naked choke at the conclusion of the first round. As per his sir name, Gracie has an extensive grappling background going 65-7 in competition and is a second degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under his cousin, Renzo Gracie.
Lawal, otherwise known as "King Mo" is 7-1 in his career. His first lost came at the hands of Rafael Cavalcante when he was tko-ed in his first defense of the Strikeforce light heavy weight title whom he won from Gegard Mousasi. Lawal poses a strong ground game as well, his wrestling abilities were twice considered to represent the United States in the Olympic games.
The July 30 event is headlined by former heavyweight untouchable, Fedor Emelianenko, who will be fighting Stirkeforce light heavy weight champion and heavy handed Dan Henderson. Emelianenko is looking to recover from consecutive loses to Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva.
Additionally, a women's welterweight title bout will be fought by champion, Marloes Coenen, defending against challenger, Miesha Tate.
