UFC welterweight prospect, Rory MacDonald, desires a future bout with Jon Fitch or a rematch with Carlos Condit according to mmamania.com.
"I'll fight anyone. A lot of people don't want to fight Jon Fitch, but I'll gladly fight him or anybody. I'd really like to rematch Carlos Condit, though. I'd take that fight 100-percent. I feel like I can beat anyone, that's my confidence," MacDonald said.
MacDonald (12-1) who's just 22 years old is quickly making a name for himself within the UFC's welterweight rankings. He is fresh off of a TKO victory over Mike Pyle in the first round at UFC 133, extending his win streak to two fights and improving his UFC record to 3-1.
For his dominant performance over Pyle, some have compared the young gun to his training partner and UFC welterweight champion, George St. Pierre.
"I know I'm a young guy, I know I have to stay grounded and improve. There's still so much to learn, I'm still very young, I still have so much time to evolve," MacDonald said.
A fight with Fitch is possible, if unlikely. Fitch has stated repeatedly his desires to fight only top contenders or former champions which would help him towards a title shot. MacDonald currently fits neither of those billings.
Of the two match-ups MacDonald would have better chance of re-matching Condit after his bout with BJ Penn at UFC 137. MacDonald's sole blemish in his record was a TKO loss to Condit in the closing moments of the second round at UFC 115.
