A bantamweight bout between Ryota Uozomi and Yuichiro Yajima has officially been added as the opening fight of the nearly completed Sengoku Eleventh Battle fight card.
Sengoku 11 takes place on Nov. 7 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, and will air in North America on HDNet.
Uozomi (9-2-2) has won six of his last eight bouts, and he most recently fought Ryuko Wada in August in a bout that was ruled a no contest due to an accidental groin kick. He is a longtime veteran of a smaller Japanese promotion, Kingdom Ehrgeiz, where he fought 10 of his 14 career bouts. Uozomi has finished six of his nine career wins, including five coming by submission.
Yajima (9-9-1) has gone back and forth as of late, going 3-3 in his last six bouts. He most recently defeated Hiroyuki Nakajima via first-round submission on Oct. 17. Yajima has fought his entire career for two Japanese promotions, Pancrese and ZST, fighting 18 of his 21 career fights for the latter promotion. He has finished all nine of his career wins by submission.
Other notable bouts featured at Sengoku 11 include Hatsu Hioki vs. Michihiro Omigawa, Satoru Kitaoka vs. Jorge Masvidal, Dave Herman vs. Jim York, and Stanislav Nedkov vs. Kevin Randleman. In addition, Sengoku middleweight champion Jorge Santiago will compete in a non-title bout against Mamed Khalidov.
