Scott Coker predicts Barnett vs. either Overeem or Werdum for tournament finale

"I believe that there are going to be some upsets in this tournament. On one side you'll have Alistair Overeem and he will fight (Josh) Barnett. The other prediction is, if Fabricio Werdum beats Alistair (Overeem), I believe Fabricio can beat Fedor (Emelianenko) again and he'll probably fight (Josh) Barnett. That's my prediction, but in these things you never know, I'm just throwing out some names. The reality is we're going to have a lot of fun watching it unfold." -Scott Coker

With the start of the highly anticipated Strikeforce heavyweight tournament quickly approaching, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker offers his predictions for the tournament finale match up.

The Strikeforce head honcho has Josh Barnett winning one side of the bracket and either Alistair Overeem or Fabricio Werdum winning the other to face him in the tournament final.

Surprisingly, Coker omits Fedor Emelianenko, who FiveKnuckles.com readers recently voted as the favorite to win the tournament by a slim margin over Dutchman Alistair Overeem. Emeliananko was favored in our poll by 46-percent of our voters compared to 42% for Overeem. Vegas seems to hold the same sentiments as our readers as Emelianenko is slightly favored there as well.

I don't know how happy Fedor and his people will be about it but too bad. flyangler: Even his boss knows the allmighty Fedor is overated. I don't get how you can be considered a god when You haven't beaten a top HW since 2006 and have only fought 6 times in the last 4 years. Does anyone know what the actual seeds are and who is in who's bracket? The Hitman: It will be OVereem Barnett finale. Wandering_Minstrel: Barnett still hasn't been cleared to fight. IwishIwasMMA: Fedor definitely has a chance to win this tourney. You people are insane if you dont think so.\ He has the power to KO any HW. He has the subs to submit nearly any HW. He has an iron chin. He has excellent sub defense. He is the most well rounded fighter in the HW division still. The question is though, will he pull this off?
