Contrary to heavy speculation, Sean Gannon will not face Kimbo Slice at CBS/EliteXC Saturday Night Fights III. A source close to the situation informed Five Knuckles.com that Gannon was asking for too much money, primarily because he would be risking his job as a police officer by taking the fight. The two sides apparently couldn't come to an agreement financially and that fight will now not happen.
The front runner now appears to be MMA legend Ken Shamrock, though nothing is guaranteed at this point. Brett Rogers is also still a possibility though EliteXC would like to avoid making that fight just yet.
