Eight-year veteran Spencer Fisher has reportedly inked a new four-fight contract with the UFC and will next fight against Octagon newcomer Kurt Warburton at UFC 120 in October.
Fisher (23-6) has suffered back-to-back losses against Joe Stevenson and most recently Dennis Siver at "The Ultimate Fighter" 11 Finale in June. Prior to the losses, he won three straight fights against Jeremy Stephens, Shannon Gugerty and Caol Uno.
Fisher has put together a 8-5 UFC record since debuting with the promotion in October 2005, scoring other Octagon wins over Aaron Riley, Thiago Alves, Matt Wiman, Dan Lauzon and Sam Stout.
Warburton is currently on a two-fight winning streak, most recently defeating Tom Maguire at Strike and Submit 12 this past October. He previously suffered the first loss of his career against Will Burke at Goshin Ryu 24 in May 2008.
Warburton has put together a nearly perfect 6-1 MMA record since turning pro in May 2007, scoring stoppages in all but one of his six wins including four by TKO. He holds a big notable career win over TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson.
The British fighter hones his skills at the Wolfslair MMA Academy, along with notables such as UFC middleweight Michael Bisping and UFC heavyweight Cheick Kongo.
Though not officially announced yet, UFC 120 is expected to take place on October 16 at the O2 Arena in London, England and will air via same-day delay on Spike TV. A middleweight bout between Michael Bisping and Victor Belfort is currently under consideration to headline the event.
