Spike TV to televise preliminary bouts for UFC 129 in Toronto
by Tim Groves on February 27, 2011

After not showing preliminary fights for UFC 127, Spike TV has announced that they will be airing live preliminary action for UFC 128 and now, UFC 129.

UFC officials announced the news last night.

While there was no mention of the bouts to be aired, MMAJunkie.com learned that the UFC is planning to show Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald and Brian Foster vs. Sean Pierson.

With Spike TV out of the equation for both UFC 125 and UFC 127, the organization turned to little known Ion network to provide preliminary fights for the fans. They have also taken to streaming fights live on Facebook prior the events as well.

UFC 129 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre and Jake Shields, as well as Jose Aldo defending his featherweight strap against Mark Hominick. The event is scheduled to take place on April 30th.
