Stephan Bonnar and Kyle Kingsbury booked for a light heavyweight tilt at UFC 139 according to ufc.com.
"Verbal agreements are in for a fight that promises non-stop action as Kyle Kingsbury will take on the ‘American Psycho' Stephan Bonnar at UFC 139," UFC president, Dana White, said.
Bonnar (13-7) is currently riding a two fight win streak that includes a TKO victory over Krzysztof Soszynski, avenging an earlier loss to "The Polish Experiment" via cut, and a unanimous decision win over Igor Pokrajac. Bonnar was originally speculated to drop down to middleweight to face Josh Koscheck due to the recent bad blood between the fighters but its clear now that this isn't the case.
Kingsbury (11-2 (1 no contest)) is on a roll, stringing a four fight win streak since his stint on the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter. His last outing at The Ultimate Fighter season 13 finale against Fabio Maldonado earned him a unanimous decision win as well as Fight of the Night honors.
UFC 139 to take place on November 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The main event features Cain Velasquez defending his heavyweight title for the first time against Junior dos Santos. It is currently unknown if Bonnar vs. Kingsbury would be on the main card or the prelims.
