Strikeforce: “Fedor vs. Rogers” weigh-in results
by Jacob Camargo on November 06, 2009

The much-anticipated Strikeforce and M-1 Global's "Fedor vs. Rogers" event is nearing closer to reality as all but one of the 20 fighters competing on tomorrow's event successfully made weight earlier in the day at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

The event takes place tomorrow, Nov. 7, at the same venue, and the main card of the event will be televised on CBS beginning at 10:00 pm ET.

The event is headlined by a much talked about heavyweight bout between top-ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and undefeated contender Brett Rogers. The two men registered the biggest weight difference of the night as Emelianenko came in at 232 pounds, while Rogers tipped the scales 32 pounds heavier at 264 pounds.

In the co-main event,  Jake Shields and Jason "Mayhem" Miller meet for the vacant Strikeforce middleweight title. Neither man had any issue making weight as Miller weighed in at 184 pounds and Shields came in at 184.5 pounds.

Other bouts featured on the main card include a non-title fight between Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi and UFC and Pride veteran Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou. Also, heavyweights Antonio Silva and Fabricio Werdum will square off in the evening's first televised bout. The bout sees the second biggest discrepancy in weight as Silva came in at 263 pounds, while Werdum weighed-in 21 pounds less at 242 pounds.

One minor incident of note, undercard fighter Dustin Neace weighed 150.5 pounds on his first attempt for his 145-pound bout with Jeff Curran. Neace then came in at an even 150 pounds on his second attempt and was given one hour to lose the additional weight and make 146 pounds. However, he could only get down to 149.6 pounds on this third and final attempt.

According to MMAjunkie.com, Jeff Curran agreed to a catch-weight bout at that weight and Neace has been forced to give up 20 percent of his fight purse to Curran.
