Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum and Josh Barnett vs. Brett Rogers is now scheduled to take place on June 18th in Dallas, Texas, according to MMAJunkie.com.
The heavyweight fights were scheduled for April 9th, but earlier reports indicated that they had been pushed off of the card. Strikeforce has now announced those changes.
The April 9th card will now be headlined by two title fights: Nick Diaz vs. Paul Daley in a welterweight showdown and Gilbert Melendez defending his lightweight crown against Tatsuya Kawajiri.
A previously speculated light heavyweight bout between Mike Kyle and Gegard Mousasi is also expected to take place on April 9th.
The apparent changes in date for the heavyweight bouts is due to "the overwhelming success in New Jersey," according to Strikeforce President Scott Coker.
"With a record pre-sale for Strikefoce tickets and a record viewership on Showtime, we've now given ourselves the proper amount of time to promote in one of the country's biggest markets," Coker said.
The first two quarterfinal match-ups took place on February 12th, when Antonio Silva defeated Fedor Emelianenko and Sergei Kharitonov beat Andrei Arlovski. Silva will square off against the winner of the Overeem/Werdum in the semifinals, while Kharitonov will meet the winner of Rogers/Barnett.
