The official fight card for The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale is complete with some interesting new match ups featuring some eliminated contestants.
The finalists, as determined on last night's show, are Court McGee (Team Liddell) and Kris McCray (Team Ortiz), two men who were both brought back after being eliminated during the season. The final fight will showcase McGee's finely-tuned ground game, as well as McCray scrappy striking skills. The winner of this fight will win a six-figure UFC contract and be crowned The Next Ultimate Fighter.
Season 11 troublemaker Jamie Yager has been pitted against Rich Attonito. While Yager lost in the semi-finals, Attonito was forced out of the competition with a broken hand after winning his first fight in the house. This fight will show Attonito's potential, while seeing if Yager was able to overcome his injuries
A rematch has been set for Brad Tavares and Seth Baczynski. In their first match up, the fight ended by an illegal kick that Baczynski accidentally threw to Tavares head when Tavares was on the ground. After apologizing, Baczynski was disqualified for the connection, giving the win to Tavares.
Another new bout addition comes in the form of a rematch between Josh Bryant and Kyle Noke. Noke came into the competition with a lot of experience, holding wins over UFC fighter George Sotiropoulos and TUF colleague Kyacey Uscola (pre-competition), and drawing against Bellator champion Hector Lombard. Bryant, a seasoned semi-finalist, will put his undefeated record on the line when he steps into the Octagon.
The last new addition to the Finale's card is James Hammortree vs. Chris Camozzi. Hammortree lost a controversial bout to Tavares in their first fight in the show, but was brought back to replace an injured Nick Ring. However, he was defeated by McGee. Hammortree's only professional loss is at the hands of UFC fight John Salter. Camozzi was forced off of the show early due to a broken jaw, and will now be looking to impress at the season's finale.
The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale will take place on June 19, and will air live and free on Spike TV. The event will be headlined by Keith Jardine vs. Matt Hamill, and rounded out by the following fights: Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson, Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver, John Gunderson vs. Mark Holst and James McSweeney vs. Travis Browne.
