After "The Kimbo Show" finished, the show must still go on. The Ultimate Fighter 11 is set to debut on Spike TV on March 31, 2010.
At The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, UFC President Dana White announced that the next two coaches will be former light-heavyweight champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. With the announcement, White added that the concluding fight between Liddell and Ortiz is what fans want to see. It will be their third fight. Currently: 2-0 Liddell.
The 11th season will feature middleweights as the only weight class, not the previously reported two divisions of middleweights and light-heavyweights. Both Liddell and Ortiz have already been coaches to middleweights and light-heavyweights. Liddell coached the season one newbies (opposing coach was Randy Couture), and Ortiz coached in season three (against Ken Shamrock).
It had previously been rumored that Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy would be opposing coaches, but White quickly squashed the talk of that match up. While St. Pierre and Hardy will be fighting each other, they will not have to wait until TUF 11's end.
In regards to White's comments about fans wanting to see Liddell and Ortiz fight again, it has proven that fans are very vocal about not seeing it happen. While they have no problem with the two fighters, the impending bout serves as a rubber match since Liddell is currently leading their rivalry by 2-0.
