TUF 9 winner James Wilks to meet Matt Brown at UFC 105
by Jacob Camargo on August 19, 2009

The Ultimate Fighter season 9 welterweight winner James Wilks will likely face fellow TUF alum Matt Brown at UFC 105. News of the bout comes via MMAjunkie.com.

On season 9 of the reality series, Wilks secured a spot in the house and on Michael Bisping's team by defeating Che Mills in the elimination bouts. He made his way to the welterweight finals by defeating Frank Lester twice.

Wilks extended his win streak to four and won the Ultimate Fighter 9 welterweight tournament by defeating Damarques Johnson at TUF 9 finale in June. The King of the Cage veteran sports an overall MMA record of 6-2, with all of his wins coming by way of stoppage. He holds a notable win over former UFC fighter Roman Mitichyan.

TUF 7 castmember, Brown (10-7), has won two straight with his most recent win coming against Pete Sell at UFC 96 in March. He is now 3-1 in the UFC with other wins coming over Matt Arroyo and Ryan Thomas. He suffered his only loss in the promotion against Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 88 last September. All of Brown's career wins have came via stoppage.

UFC 105 will be the first of two events slated to take place in November for the promotion. The event is expected to take place on November 14 Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. TUF 3 light-heavyweight winner Michael Bisping will likely headline the event against a yet unknown opponent.
