Lightweights Terry Etim and Shannon Gugerty are slated to face each other at UFC 105 on November 14 from the the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. The news comes courtesy of Fighter's Only.
Though UFC 105 has yet to be officially announced by the promotion, the event is expected to feature Michael "The Count" Bisping competing in the co-main event bout opposite Denis Kang. TUF 9 winners James Wilks and Ross Pearson will also be competing at the event.
Etim (13-2) is currently on a three fight win steak, with wins over Sam Stout, Brian Cobb and most recently Justin Buchholz at June's UFC 99. Prior to the wins, he had lost two straight against the likes of Gleison Tibau and Rich Clementi. Etim has put together a 4-2 record in six fights with the UFC. An impressive 10 of his 13 career wins have been by submission stoppage.
Gugerty (12-3) is coming off a win over Matt Grice at UFC 100 in July. Prior to the win, he suffered his first UFC loss against Spencer Fisher at UFC 90 last October. During his short tenure with the UFC, he has put together a 2-1 record, with a win in his debut with the promotion over Dale Hartt. The longtime Total Combat veteran has finished all 12 of his career wins and he holds a notable career win over WEC veteran Cub Swanson.
