The Ultimate Fighter alums Dan Cramer and George Roop join Thales Leites and Tamdan McCrory as fighters who have been cut from the UFC's roster following losses at last Saturday's UFC 101 event. News of Cramer and Roop's departure from the organization came via MMA FanHouse.
The 23-year old Cramer suffered a unanimous decision loss to fellow TUF 7 cast member Matt Riddle at UFC 101. He exits the UFC with a 1-1 record with the promotion as he made a successful MMA and UFC debut by defeating Matt Arroyo at UFC 94 in January. The American Top Team fighter was a member of Team Rampage as a middleweight on the seventh season of the Ultimate Fighter, where he went 2-1 during the season.
Roop was defeated by George Sotiropoulos at the August 8 event. He departs the promotion with a 1-2 record, with a win over David Kaplan at UFC 98 in May and a loss in his UFC debut against Shane Nelson at TUF 8 finale. Roop was a member of Team Mir on the 8th season of TUF, where he went 2-1 during the season, only losing to eventual lightweight runner-up Phillipe Nover. The longtime Rage in the Cage veteran sports a 9-5 MMA record, with 5 of his wins coming by stoppage. He holds a notable win over Strikeforce and PFC veteran Tito Jones.
