Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia announced yesterday that he will be fighting Wes Sims in March.

"Just got a fight march 20th in Ohio I am fighting wes simms." wrote Sylvia on his Twitter page last night. According to MMAFighting, Sims has since confirmed the fight via Talking Sports Radio.

Sims is an alum of The Ultimate Fighter 10. He was last seen taking on Justin Wren during the show, losing via submission. Sims is currently looking to make his Strikeforce debut - against Bobby Lashley on Jan. 30 - prior to taking on Sylvia close to two months later.

On the other hand, Sylvia has won, defended and challenged for the UFC heavyweight title many times during his career. However, his last six fights have only seen two victories. His most devastating loss last year was to Ray Mercer in June. But he has since countered with a victory over Jason Riley in September.
