Tito Ortiz would like a chance to fight Anderson Silva
by Natalia Baage on September 09, 2009

"Anderson Silva, stay in your own weight class, unless you want to get beat, but that's something different.  If they give me a chance to fight Anderson, I would love that.  That'd be awesome.  That'd be big pay-per-view.  I don't know if he wants to lose though.  I guess that's up to him.  He's the champ, he gets to call the shots.  I'm just another fighter looking to win a world title." --Tito Ortiz

Since UFC 101, Ortiz has spoken about his wish to fight Anderson Silva in the Octagon.  With Ortiz now back in the UFC, and set to face Mark Coleman in an upcoming bout at UFC 106 on Nov. 21, it is unclear when Ortiz's wish for Silva will be granted.

Silva is shuffling between weight classes, and is asking to go up to heavyweight - potentially to fight Frank Mir.  Ortiz expressed his thoughts that Silva should stay in the middleweight divison, however, he would still accept a fight against him at light-heavyweight.
